Mr. Andrews was born in Washington, D.C. and received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering (1972) from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree (1976) from the University of Virginia's School of Law. He is a member of the North Carolina and Virginia State Bars and has been admitted to practice in federal trials and appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Jeffrey A. Andrews is a past President of the Alamance County Bar Association and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Alamance County Bar. He has been active in the Health Law and Employment Law Councils of the North Carolina Bar Association and is a member of the Business Law, Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law, Health Law, Intellectual Property Law and Labor & Employment Law sections of the North Carolina Bar Association. Mr. Andrews is also active in numerous Virginia Bar Association and American Bar Association sections with an emphasis in Business, Health, and Employment Law.
Mr. Andrews is a past President and Director of Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, and has formerly served in leadership roles in such service organizations as Outreach and Preventative Services, Suicide and Crisis Service, and the Alamance Coalition Against Drug Abuse (ACADA). He currently serves as a Director of Ralph Scott Lifeservices, Inc. and Alamance CARES and is active in the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce, the United Way, the Education Council and Junior Achievement.Jeffrey A. Andrews served for many years as a member and officer (Secretary) of the City of Burlington Traffic Commission and has appeared as a contributing writer for legal issues with Alamance Magazine. Mr. Andrews has been a featured speaker at Health Law seminars around the state and he frequently speaks to groups on Estate Planning, Health Law or business entity formation legal issues. Mr. Andrews is a 2007 recipient of the "Citizen Lawyer" award from the North Carolina Bar Association and has been recognized by the Alamance County Bar Association with both its Community Service Award (1992) and Centennial Award (2007).
